Study Scheme - Guidelines & Procedures 2007- 08

Thesis Submission

1. The followings should be submitted to the General Office by 5 p.m.,
Noverbem 20, 2007 (for 1st term) and April 7, 2008 (for 2nd term)

  • Three A4 size copies of the final draft of the Undergraduate Thesis
    • List your Student ID on the cover page of the thesis
    • Each copy bound with the spiral strip, and a sample is available at the General Office
  • One CD-ROM containing the following files:
    • The thesis file in MS Word format
      Name the file of thesis as Student ID_thesis,e.g., 99123456_thesis
    • The abstract of the thesis and all self-translated psychological tests* in MS Word format
      Name the file of abstract as Student ID_abstract,
      e.g., 99123456_abstract

      Name the file of translated tests as Student ID_test,
      e.g., 99123456_test

      * Please indicate the authorship(s) of the test(s) at the cover of the floppy diskette for third party access
    • List your student ID, student name, file name and submission year & term on the CDR's cover.
  • One CD-ROM containing the raw data and the data coding scheme.
    • Name the file of raw data as Student ID_rawdata,
      e.g., 99123456_rawdata
    • Name the file of data coding as Student ID_coding,
      e.g., 99123456_coding
    • List your student ID, student name, file name and submission year & term on the CDR's cover.

      A hard copy of the raw data (optional)

  • DO NOT attach any psychological test that is subject to copyright protection in the thesis
    • DO NOT attach any self-translated psychological test* in the thesis
    • Please consult your thesis supervisor for information which psychological tests are subject to copyright protection.

4. Grading

The thesis will be graded by two staff members, one of whom is the thesis supervisor

Note:
* A self-translated test is an instrument obtained by your own translation of any existing testing material from one language (e.g., English) to a second language (e.g., Chinese)
