Author/co-author/editor often books and over 150 articles on research methods, social and educational philosophy, policy analysis and intervention, community medicine, public health and health education. Current research is neuroscience and knowledge development and utilization and scientific method in and social and educational inquires.

Currently Principal Investigator of a cross-institutional and multi-disciplinary research project on neuro-cognitive science and language learning. Investigators are from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong. Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, and the City University of Hong Kong. Specializations include neurology, education, physiology, paediatrics, psychology, electrical engineering, computer sciences, language, statistics, and artificial intelligence. The three-year study (1999-2003) is funded by the Hong Kong Government.
