20th Anniversary Celebration

2002 marks the 20th anniversary of the Department of Psychology at the CUHK.

Our Department was first formed in 1982 with six faculty members teaching the traditional range of psychology subjects. Over the past 20 years, the Department has developed into a prominent department in the Faculty of Social Science with 18 faculty members and over 200 undergraduate students enrolled. Postgraduate level training in Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Industrial-Organizational Psychology are also offered, enrolling approximately 80 master's and doctoral level students in the academic year 2001-02. Up to now, we already have over 800 alumni.

Throughout the years, our Department has gradually become a major voice in the field of psychology in Asia. A series of functions including public lectures on various interesting topics for the general public, a symposium and a banquet were organized to celebrate our Department's 20th Anniversary in 2002.
