Centre Description & Goal

Our center was established in 2003 as the Center for Neurocognitive Function Enhancement. It was renamed as the Integrative Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Center (INRC) in April 2009.

Based on the principle of integrative rehabilitation approach, our center aims at enhancing individuals’ brain functions, so as to improve their emotional and behavioral problems, and to enhance their learning and work efficiency and quality of life.

 

Centre's Uniqueness

  • Our center integrates the knowledge of brain science from the west and the Chinese philosophy of Chan (禪) and mind-body practices (養生) as the foundation of our intervention;
  • Our center adopts evidence-based intervention methods;
  • Our center has developed a series of evidenced-based intervention approaches and assessment tools based upon our over-a-decade cumulative experience in research and clinical application. Examples of the intervention approaches and assessment tools are as follows:

Target Client

Individuals who wish to enhance their memory function, analytical thinking, psychological well-being, mind-body health and work efficiency, including:

  • Patients with brain disorders, e.g. autistic spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, brain trauma resulting from accident, epilepsy, depression, stroke, dementia, etc.;
  • Any individuals who wish to enhance work or learning capability, and to improve their emotions.
