504 Remote Eye Tracker with Magnetic Head Tracking
The
ASL 504 Remote Eye Tracker with Magnetic Head Tracking is a bright-pupil
system that tracks gaze by sending an illumination from the remote unit
to the left pupil of the participant. We have been using the eye tracker
to examine how age and personality variables influence attention for emotional
and non-emotional stimuli. This is the only system that can combine the
magnetic head tracker with the pan tilt to virtually eliminate the need
to reacquire the eye during motion or correct for point of gaze errors.
It allows the participant approximately one square foot of head movement
which eliminates the need for head restraint. It records gaze location
60 times per second, and calculates gaze position by following both the
position of the pupil and corneal reflection.
