M.Phil.
in Industrial-Organizational Psychology (Full-time)
This
programme is the first full-time postgraduate programme in Hong Kong
designed specifically for the training of professional industrial-organizational
psychologists. Students will receive comprehensive training in utilizing
psychological knowledge for improving organizational effectiveness
and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications
for Admission
In
addition to the general qualifications (Please refer to Graduate
School Homepage ), all applicants must also fulfil the
"English Language Proficiency Requirement" as stipulated by
the Graduate
School before being considered for admission. Please refer
to the "Postgraduate Prospectus" issued by the Graduate School
for details on these requirements.
Besides, all applicants
should:
- possess a Bachelor's
degree in Psychology or postgraduate diploma in Psychology; and
- have eligibility
for membership of the Hong Kong Psychological Society.
Requirements
for Application
In addition
to the general application materials, all applicants should submit a
statement of career aspiration and research interest (750 words in English).
Programme
of Study
The
design of the curriculum follows the scientist-practitioner model, with
emphasis on both theoretical and applied skills.

Requirements
- Students are required
to submit
a research thesis (
format guidelines)
and pass an oral examination for graduation;
- IT Proficiency Test (Please refere to "Student IT Competence")
- Complete
an Improving Postgraduate Learning (IPL) module on "Observing Intellectual
Property and Copyright Law during Research". This will be an
online module and relevant information can be accessed from the
