Prof. Agnes received
her doctoral degree from the University of California at San Diego in
1995. She has conducted research in the area of neuropsychology with
pecial interest in memory disorders associated with brain damage. Her
research interests also include enhancing cognitive functions in patients
with neurological disorders. Prof. Chan is an active researcher with
her research projects published in top-ranking
international journals including Nature, Neuropsychology, Archive of
Neurology and Cancer. She also serves on the editorial boards of two
international journals, namely, the Neuropsychology (an APA journal)
and the Journal of the International Neuropsychological Society (by
Cambridge University Press). Currently, Prof. Chan is the chairperson
of the Hong Kong Neuropsychological Association, and the director of
the Center for Neurocognitive Functions Enhancement.

Clinical neuropsychology:
cognitive impairment associated with brain disorders, cortical plasticity
on cognitive function, cognitive interventions.
