Seminar
This
is a sharing and discussion session on teaching experiences. As an open-forum,
teachers and tutors will share their experiences on teaching-related
matters. This is a platform not only to learn about best practices in
teaching, but also to discuss how and why things may not work. We all
have our successes and failures at teaching and in these seminars we
have the opportunity to reflect upon our own and others' experiences.
In the coming seminar we will focus on learning activities and assessments.
I will start with a very brief review of the types of learning activities
and assessments we have been using in the psychology undergraduate curriculum.
Then I will moderate a discussion on our experiences in using these
activities and assessments.
The success of the seminar depends on audience's active participation.
I look forward to a fruitful sharing of our teaching experiences.
