Strong
training produces strong sport performance. Sport Psychology offers such
training, suitable for people of all levels and in all sport activities.
Prof. Richard Kam Cheong Suinn, sport psychologist, will share the secrets
of mental training using examples from his own consulting experiences.
This lecture will be of interest to psychologists and to the general public.
This topic is especially valuable since China will be the future host
of the Olympic Games. Examples will include ways to achieve self-control,
visualization, thought management, goal setting, relaxation, stress management,
and concentration.
Prof.
Suinn is in Hong Kong as External Examiner to The Chinese University of
Hong Kong. He is a former member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, Sport
Psychology Committee and team psychologist for U.S. Summer and Winter
men and women Olympic Teams. He is also the past president of the American
Psychological Association.
