Our Department invited
Professor Norman Freeman to deliver the second lecture of the series on
10 April 2002.In this lecture, Professor Freeman argued that emotions
play a central role in stimulating intellectual development. He explained
how young children come to learn what makes them and other people happy
or sad, excited or surprised within the family.
